Everyday English is a series of eight contextualized exercise workbooks designed especially for elementary E. S. L. level students. Spelling words and structures are presented together in real and meaningful settings rather than as isolated language fragments. Each exercise presents its spelling words with structures related to a particular theme, already familiar to the student in his own native tongue. These workbooks filled with numerous and delightful pictures to color and relate to, give the students a rapid, efficient, and certainly a more meaningful way of studying.
The easy to use and follow format will motivate the students and help make both teaching and learning an enjoyable experience. The exercises within each unit are controlled and sequenced. They are spiraled and re-entered often enough for mastery. This series, with its natural useful vocabulary will enable the learner to communicate comfortably and effectively in English from the very beginning.
The four major areas, understanding, speaking, reading and writing are enforced throughout. All workbooks include a teacher´s guide, answer key and "fun activities" which include suggested games for each level. The evaluation exercises done weekly in the first levels and monthly in the higher levels are provided so that the students progress is easily checked. These workbooks may be used as major texts or as supplementary material depending on the intensiveness of the course and time allowed.
