Macmillan Mathematics is a six-level Primary Mathematics course designed to meet the needs of international learners. The course bridges the gap between mainstream curriculum teaching and CLIC (Content and Language Integrated Learning) of English-medium teaching. It aims to introduce mathematics in a simpke and interesting way, with clearly structured lessons and colourful and appealing artwork. Multi-leveled tasks help children apply what they´ve learnt to the real world. Macmillan Mathematics caters for mixed ability classes and is designed to stimulate different types of mathematical thinking. ´Try This´ boxes offer new challenges for fast finishers and provide more practice for other learners. Assess and review sections, in addition to the core teaching units, encourage further practice and consolidation of skills, and give teachers an effective way of evaluating their pupils´ progress. The course packpage for each level includes two Pupil´s Books with interactive Pupil´s CD-ROM. The Teacher´s Guide includes facsimiles of the Pupil´s Book pages, answers to all the exercises, and supportive lesson notes to ensure that teachers get the most out of the course and their pupils.
