Macmillan Foundation Skills provide a straightforward, practical programme for developing English language skills in Primary classrooms. Each strand consists of six levels and provides:
- coverage of core skills
- carefully controlled language
- regular revision
- support for teachers
Reading 1-6 >introduces children to a wide range of fiction and non-fiction text types. Each book consists of 20 stimulus passages, followed by activities at:
- text level comprehension tasks at three levels of difficulty
- sentence level work relating to sentence structure, punctuation and grammar
- word level spelling and vocabulary work
