These stories are narrated
almost completely in the
present tense. Generally there
is also some use of modal
verbs – especially must, can,
should and have to. Most
of these readers include
exercises on comparative
adjectives, irregular plural
nouns and interrogative
words and constructions.
The illustrations are a tool
for building and testing
vocabulary.
