Journey to the Center of the Earth tells the wonderful story of Otto Lidenbrock, his nephew Áxel and Hans, who, guided with a map, descended into the Earth, in Iceland, through a dead crater. There they found fossils of extinct animals, as well as living giants, and discovered an underground sea. At the end of the trip, a wave of the sea lifted the raft they were flying and they came to the surface through the chimney of an active volcano
