In this volume the team of researchers, co-ordited by the well-known historian Guillermo Tovar de Teresa, have been true to the spirit that inspired the creation and publishing of the initial volume: to serve the specialist as much as the general public, thanks to the agreeable and easily assimilated text, offering -at the same time- a valuable source of documentary and bibliographical information that expands the frame of reference of those artists that have been included. This result is surprisingly rich: an encounter and dialogue with times and worlds now past, with diverse genres and styles.
