On the celebrations of the Bicentennial of Independence and the Centennial of the Mexican Revolution, Herdez Foundation organized a series of lectures on Chili. A Key Feature of Independence and the Revolution. The texts of the speakers constitute the content of the book. On this occasion, a group of experts met so that each one could address the issue of chili from different points of view. Thus, Janet Long Towell, Héctor Bourges Rodríguez, Sergio Hernández Verdugo, Eduardo Merlo, Marco Buenrostro and Cristina Barros contributed to creating a rich overview of the subject. Each presentation was also accompanied by a tasting. Chefs Jorge Luis Álvarez and María Engracia Celis Juárez took turns, offering diners exquisite treats in which vibrant flavors were blended with history.
